Yehia MELAWI is a PhD candidate at the University of Michigan, under the supervision of Dr. Mark Tessler and Dr. Charlotte Cavaillé, and an Associate Researcher with GERME at ULB working with Dr. Corinne TORREKENS. He studies issues of religion and identity, with a focus on state-mosque relations and the regulation of Muslim institutions at the sub-national level in Belgium and Switzerland
